Singer Carrie Underwood has opened up the floodgates of social media with a (seemingly innocent) comment in a recent interview with Redbook magazine over her fertility. When asked about expanding her family, Underwood replied, “I’m 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family.” She also said, “We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older.”

Realistically, celebrities are under no obligation to tell their fans every last detail of their personal lives.

But it is refreshing when celebs talk honestly about issues that affect everyone – even the rich and famous. Infertility doesn’t discriminate. 1 in 8  couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy (2006-2010 National Survey of Family Growth, CDC).

The problem is when photos of these highly admired celebs with their “miracle baby” are published without a single mention of just how they were able to get pregnant in (me
